There are many deities and festivals in Hindu religion, so there’s a great significance of “Pooja Samagri” things which are being used while addressing a religious act. In Hindu religion there’s a great role Pooja Samagri while worshiping God without using these Pooja samagri it is considered ones worship isn’t completed and he can’t bear the fruit of the lord.
In Hindu religion Pooja Samagri comprises of various things from clothes to ornaments from Hawan Samagri to different colours such as Roli and fruits.
In Pooja Samagri the products offered by us are Roli, Sindoor, Sandal Wood (Chandan) and Hawan Samagri.
Mangalam Roli: Roli is traditional vermilion red colour powder used heavily in Hindu religion while worshiping or offering our devotion to the lord, it signifies purity and holiness present in our offering.
Mangalam Sindoor: Sindoor is a traditional vermilion red or orange-red coloured powder in India, usually worn by married women along the parting of their hair. Application of Sindoor is essentially a Hindu tradition. It is also used in worshiping the lord.
Mangalam Hawan samagri: It comprises all the components which are being used in a Hawan. A Hawan is a ritual where people offer their devotion to the lord by lighting a small quadrant platform and offering their faith to the lord by throwing various things known as “Hawan Samagri” in the light, the fire here signifies the lord himself. “Hawan Samagri” has a positive effect on our body as its aroma cleanse our body and sends us to a serene state devoid of any tensions related to materialistic nature.
Mangalam Sandalwood powder (Chandan): Sandalwood is a class of woods from trees in the genus Santalum. The woods are heavy, yellow, and fine-grained, and unlike many other aromatic woods, they retain their fragrance for decades. In Hinduism Sandalwood paste is integral to rituals and ceremonies, to mark religious utensils, and to decorate the icons of the deities. Preparation of the paste is a duty fit only for the pure, so is entrusted in temples and during ceremonies only to priests. Chandan powder is very popular in India in Hinduism and Ayurveda, sandalwood is thought to bring one closer to the divine. Thus, it is one of the most used holy elements in Hindu and Vedic societies.
